Introduction

Keeping your site up to date is crucial to keep your visitors happy each time they return to your site and important for keeping you rising up (and staying on top!) of the search engine rankings.

Types of Article 

Over the years we have seen that there are most-often 3 types of article to add to a website:

Pre-Written Article

Some of our clients use a third-party P.R. Company to write and produce content for them. This is most commonly for use in magazines, newspapers or even catalouges.

Here's what happens next:

• We are e-mailed the .pdf copy of the article, with any choice quotes from it outlined in an e-mail
• We create a snap-shot of the .pdf and turn it into a mini picture
• We create a new content item within your site and include the quotes you have chosen and the image we have created
• We turn the image into a link to download your .pdf and include a text-link to download it also
• You are contacted to approve the article before it goes live
• We action any final changes required and make the article available to everyone! 

Clients who have chosen to use the Document Management System we offer might find it more useful for the article to link to the download page for this article, or even to the download category that this .pdf is found in. You can find out more about the Document Management System here.

Article Provided by E-mail

 We also have clients who manage their own in-house publicity. They are happy to create the content themselves and then release it to magazines, P.R. Companies, Distributors etc. themselves. We get sent the article via e-mail and here is what happens next:

• We turn the article into a content item, adding styling and emphasis where we see it would work best. This might include bold text, italic text and so on.
• You are contacted to approve the article before it goes live
• We action any final changes required and make the article available to everyone!

Are you a Microsoft™ Word^© user? Please note that because of the huge amount of erroneous code Microsoft™ products insert into the CODE it produces, any formatting entered into a Word^© document you provide us will be included in this category.

Spoken Article / Article Production

Other clients do not have the time to write their own articles or might prefer not to do it themselves (just because you are good at what you do, does not mean you can write eloquently about it!), or do not have the resources to work with a P.R. Company. We are proud to place ourselves as a solution in both cases.

Here's how this works:

• You call us, either by phone, or by Skype (which is free!)
• We take notes during the conversation looking for:
• The main aim of this article
• What major points you are trying to get across
• Any key details or information, such as times, dates, or what you might want the site visitor to do next
• We write the article within 48 hours, sending you a link to a non-public proof
• We talk about any final changes that are required
• As soon as the document is approved we publish it for all to see
