SKYPE is a Voice over IP (VoIP) service from the people who brought you eBay and PayPal! It is a small piece of FREE software that lets you make voice calls over the Internet from your computer.

You can call normal phones at low prices and talk to other Skype users anywhere in the world for free! You need a headset and a broadband connection to use Skype (see examples of great headsets below).

NOTE:Skype is not a telephony replacement service and cannot be used for emergency calling.

With a way of helping people from all ages, levels of Computer knowledge or type of computer, Skype connects people. It's also great for sharing. Here at Coos Creations we use Skype to pass files between clients, have instant chats or talk using headsets. We can talk and type at the same time because we're not straining to hold our phones to our heads!

We've set our Skype up to record typed conversations, so we can go back through a chat to make sure we didn't miss anything. This is extra useful when having important conversations and can avoid costly mistakes!
